What is included in BOLD Code
A capability guide to BOLD Code: editing, hosting, domains, HTTPS, CMS, forms, analytics and integrations.
From the first edit to a live site
- Editor and preview
- Code and design mode edit the same files. Preview runs in the browser. Computed text and styles are protected from destructive visual edits.
- Hosting
- Publish builds your project and checks the live hosting service. When the service is available it returns a separate live address. If it is unavailable, the panel explains that; ZIP and GitHub export remain available.
- Custom domains
- The Domain tab lets you search, buy and attach a domain to the project. Attaching a domain is not proof that the published site and its DNS are ready. Check the live address and domain setup before sharing it.
- HTTPS / SSL
- The live hosting address uses HTTPS. A domain purchase or project attachment alone does not establish a working HTTPS site on your custom domain.
- CMS
- There is no built-in content collection editor in BOLD Code. Connect your chosen content service in the project’s code when you need one.
- Forms
- Templates can include a form interface. Connect it to a real submission service before collecting enquiries; a template form is not an inbox.
- Analytics and SEO
- Add your analytics integration and page metadata in the project. BOLD Code does not automatically give every generated site an analytics dashboard or SEO campaign.
- Integrations
- Download source as a ZIP or export to a new GitHub repository. Add other integrations in source code. Export is not a promise of continuous two-way GitHub sync.
Check the result before sharing it
- Preview every page and test the form or checkout you connected.
- Open Publish and resolve any hosting or build error shown there.
- Open the returned live address in a new tab. Check the custom domain separately if you use one.
- Keep private API credentials on your server. Browser code and published assets can be read by visitors.
